Single gestures by themselves can not reveal the true meaning of the situation. There are many more factors that play into reading people then just identifying single cues. When people move, they are fluid and changing, so too are their moods and context. One must use the full picture to discover the story. The ‘rule of four’, congruency, context, baselining, and intuition are the five cardinal rules that any body language master must abide by and we cover them next.
shes not cold or angry..shes just disatisfied whit the convesation…dah
I agree with aswe323. She appears unhappy, has switched off and doesn’t want anything further to do with the conversation. There’s not enough tension in her posture to suggest outright anger.
She appears defensive. She is curled up, covering her mid section, and crossing her arms. She has her head turned, so that her hair shields her eyes as much as possible. She is avoiding eye contact, which indicates she does not want any attention from the fellow across the table from her. She might not like what he is doing or saying, as her chin is slightly extended, or may be recalling something else with which she is not comfortable (unrelated to the male). She is might be annoyed, depending on the context of the situation.
