I have this site and I would like to know if i can translate the book of reading body language and post it. I will translate it anyway, ’cause my girlfriend don’t know english; and if i do that, i can share with you, so you will have this book also in portuguese.
You’ll want to look up the research on lying in the various references. Much of it is based upon the findings regarding the lack of solid evidence that hand to face gestures really indicate lying. Observations by Joe Navarro “What Every Body is Saying” and Allan Pease (various sources) may provide you with some additional resources. Like everything, the book is a collaboration between primary research and personal observation.
Keep in mind that not all body language has had the same level of primary research as others. That said, “auto contact” during distress and “pacifying behaviours” are common observations during emotional discomfort.
There is currently no way to download the book. It is sponsored and therefor funded by the ads you see on the right column. Thus is it currently free to read, but on the website only.
