The Body Language of Kristen Stewart who plays Bella Swan in “Twilight” and “New Moon”

Does anything strike you about Kristen Stewart, the actress that plays Bella Swan in “Twilight” and “New Moon?”  It’s such a rare event in the body language world to see such a clear portrayal of the type of nonverbal language that we’re always referring to, especially for its category.  While looking cool, dominant and in control is ubiquitous across Hollywood, looking timid, shy and out of place is much more rare, and that is exactly what is shown here.  Take a close look at the images.  In image #1 we see a prominent “fig leaf” posture where the hands are placed over the midsection or genitals signifying shame.  Imagine if she were nude, disrobed, and put in front of an audience.  This is exactly the first posture those who lack confidence will do.  Her hands are also interlaced which also shows negative thoughts.  In image #2 she is half displaying confident ready language with her hands on her hips, probably trying to look cool, but her other hand is hidden in her pockets showing hidden emotions.  I would imagine she felt it would come across as far too shy to put both hands in her pockets, or even duck out of the spotlight altogether, but those are her primary desires as depicted by her body language.  Image #3 is an alternate angle.  Also note her despondent face.  She’s obviously not impressed.

Through the magic of the internet, we don’t have to guess about her history, or her filmography.  A quick search tells us she’s a fairly “green”, actress who’s been mostly out of the spotlight.  I would guess that she’s probably introverted and likes to keep to herself.  Perhaps we have some real fans out there who can find out.  Regardless of what she’s hiding, it’s obvious by her body language that she lacks the mental fortitude to be subjected to the media spotlight.

Tiger Woods Body Language – Robot with a Penis

Tiger Woods Body Language

I’m not a huge golf fan, or even a fan at all, so pardon me for picking up on the topic of the day; that being Tiger Woods and his “transgressions.”  Without getting into all the gritty details and what I think about them, suffice it to say that I’m not impressed, I would like to talk about what Tiger Woods says with his body language.  While I am speaking with 20/20 hide-sight I have thought for sometime that Tiger Woods always reads as if he’s crying or about to cry, that on the inside he holds hurt and negative emotions.  Even when he’s playing well, his face if full of pain yet he’s oddly robotic in the way he carries himself.  Now pardon me for saying this because I’m not a golf wiz, but isn’t golf fairly simple to do if you can repeat a swing over and over again precisely?  Can machines not play better golf than people?  I’ve seen golf striking machines and they can sure hit a ball straight and far, so does that not tell us that a robotic golfer would out-compete a more emotional golfer?  Tiger Woods is the perfect blend of robot and man, able to strike a ball the same way every time, yet he fails miserably as a father and husband.

This may seem circular, but perhaps his actions and body language is emotional but what is underneath the man is unemotional, uncaring and impulsive.  We see this time and again from reports of using drugs during sex, having multiple sexual escapades and even having sex with his neighbours daughter.  Obviously Tiger has some sort of dysfunction and like I mentioned previously I have noticed this come through in the way he carries himself, expressionless, yet always seems to be moments away from crying.  Just watch this video posted below.  This is Tiger’s face through and through.  He carries himself like this all the time.  Now we know why.

Some funny parodies:
