YOUR PRIVACY IS IMPORTANT TO US
What is personal information?
Personal information means any information about an identifiable individual. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, birth date, purchase information or e-mail address. In every case, the Body Language Project adheres to strict guidelines when dealing with your personal information.
II. Personal Information Submission is Voluntary: At the Body Language Project, we may ask you for information such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth and/or your e-mail address. Your agreement to and provision of such personal information is completely voluntary.
We may provide the information to our trusted partners who work on behalf of or with the Body Language Project under confidentiality agreements. These companies may use your personal information to help us communicate with you about offers and our marketing partners. However, these companies do not have any independent right to share this information. Except as stated in this Policy, we do not sell, transfer or disclose your personal information to third parties unless we have your expressed consent.
If you do not want information collected from our Web sites, please do not agree to the collection of information nor submit any information to us. If you have already submitted personal information and would like us to remove it from our records, please follow the procedures listed in Section V of this Policy.
III. Restriction of access by People Under Age: The Body Language Project is intended only for persons 18 years of age or older. Please get your parent/guardian’s permission beforehand whenever you provide personal information to the Body Language Project website. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information. If someone under age has provided us with personal information by obtaining access in violation of the Web site policy, we ask that the parent or guardian of that person contact us immediately at the e-mail address listed at the bottom of this Statement so we can immediately remove such information from our records.
IV. Cookies and Non-Personal Information Collection:
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone (referred to here as a “device”) browser from a website’s computer and is stored on your device’s hard drive. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other sites. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their website in order to track online traffic flows.
Cookies record information about your online preferences and allow us to tailor the websites to your interests. Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time. The last of these mean that certain personalized services cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly you may not be able to take full advantage of all of the websites features. Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.
The Body Language Project (or a fulfillment house or other third party on our behalf with whom we share such information) uses this information to tailor our Web sites to better match your interests and preferences and to improve our site and programs. Except as stated in this Policy, we do not sell, transfer or disclose that information to third parties unless we have your express consent.
V. Requesting Deletion of Volunteered Information: If you have voluntarily submitted personal information to us and would like that information removed from our records, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the words “Delete my Records” in the subject line and body of your message. Upon your request, you will not receive any further communication from us, and we will delete this personal information from our existing files. Please note that removing your e-mail address from our mailing list may take up to 15 days, so you may receive additional messages from us for a short period.
